October 14, 2017: PUBLIC SQUARE ROSARY CRUSADE 100TH ANNIVERSARY

In this historic year of the Fatima Centennial (1917-2017), the world is at a historic crossroad. God is more offended than ever as people ignore Our Lady’s maternal request to “stop offending God.” Yes, we must listen to Our Lady’s request and stop sinning if we hope to enjoy God’s blessings and to avert His wrath.  He will hear us, if we pray through the intercession of His Blessed Mother.

October 4, 2017:  Blessing of Pets and Animals will be held on Wednesday, October 4th, at 5:45pm, in St. Michael’s Parking Lot on the grass near the playground.  (611 Stark Street, Wausau).

Join in this celebration of your pets and animals with a short prayer service and blessing, followed by refreshments.

This custom remembers the love St. Francis of Assisi had for all creatures. Francis loved the larks that flew about his hilltop town and wrote the Canticle of the Creatures, … an ode to God’s living things.

If it is raining, the blessing will be held under the drive-up canopy off the parking lot.

September 14, 2017:  St. Mark’s Parish is hosting the Diocese of La Crosse Rural Life Day at the Fischer Farm in Hatley.  Project Milk fund raising is being held to raise money to send powdered milk to the Casa Hoger Orphanage.  Any donations collected through our parishes by September 14 will be matched by Catholic Financial Life, Chapter 94.  Your contributions can be dropped in the weekend collection or sent to your parish office.  Please make checks out to St. Michael Parish.
